Mechanical Engineering studies that included courses such as Engineering
Graphics, Mechanics, Strength of materials, Calculus1&2, Kinematics,
Electronics and Computer programming
Technical Experience
Mike Roberts, has been working at K.B. Foster Civil Engineering, Inc.
for eight years. Mike is currently responsible for several aspects of
project completion both in the office and in the field including final
grading, layout, road and street design and both sewer and stormwater
designs. He is also often assigned the task of final plan presentation
and readability, as well as project quantity takeoffs of earthwork and
materials. Mr. Roberts is an expert draftsman who pays extreme attention
to details. His personal quality control reduces the time and money spent
on small but necessary corrections.
Mr. Roberts is becoming more involved with technical issues within the
office network giving both software and hardware support for several
types of computer components and systems.
Project Experience
Carnelian Bay Lake Access & Resource
Enhancement
Assisted with preparation, design, and construction documents including
public walk through riparian wetland areas and wildlife crossing under
Highway 28.
Tahoe City Urban Improvement Project
Assisted in preparation of many aspects of the project including but
not limited to; storm drain layout and profiling, parking lot design
and stripping, traffic control and project phasing.
Sierra Village Apartment Homes
Involved from the initial stages of the project including surveying the
site as both the rod man and the crew chief. Mike later assisted in
the preparation of construction documents and design of all aspects
of the project including building and parking lot layout and design,
sewer system design as well as grading plans and landscaping design.
Palisades Truckee Townhomes
Prepared initial Tentative Map plans including lot layout and parcel
maps, grading plan and utility plans. Assisted in design of sewer system
layout and profile, site grading and water quality treatment.
Truckee Middle School
Involved in all aspects of project including road design, grading of
the roads and building site, utility layout and detailing.
