Project
Description: Our firm was selected by Placer County Department
of Public Works to provide all planning and design services to restore
a previously destroyed stream environment zone and remedy flooding
and erosion problems. Our work included the preliminary project report,
grant application, agency processing, topographic surveys, all plans
and specifications (including landscape revegetation, erosion control,
hydrologic calculations and design of highway improvements), construction
surveys, construction review, and the final project report. The visually
and environmentally degraded site has been improved dramatically and
is now considered a showcase restoration project for Lake Tahoe at
a key visitor access location. Large numbers of spawning trout returned
to Griff Creek after the project was completed.
